    The Project

Pacy and Wheatley Interiors, specialising in shop fitting contracts, were delighted to have won the tender to fit out a new purpose built Magnet showroom in Inverness.
The works involved the installation of a dividing Jumbo stud wall to separate the warehouse area from the retail and trade showrooms. There was also a requirement to install back of house facilities including a disabled access toilet and wash areas. We also created and fitted a staff kitchen into this section of the building. As mentioned above when we took over the building it was just an empty shell and we were commissioned to fit out the whole store which included the fitting of a new air conditioning system, new ceilings and fully decorated both externally and internally. New Kitchen product was then fitted into pre made room sets to form individual fully illuminated Kitchen sets which will be displayed to the general public. State of the art planning areas were also installed where store technicians will produce layouts of a potential new Kitchens for members of the general public, The design of these stores is very intricate and demanding and there was a need for high levels of communication and regular site meetings to ensure clarity between the many contractors involved as well as the direct trades who work for the client. H&S on the project needed to be closely monitored and regular tool box talks took place to ensure zero accidents were achieved. This was achieved which is testament to the safe and professional way in which the project was carried out.

    The Solution

This particular store being situated in Inverness proved to be very challenging logistically. We had to ensure that all materials and plant were procured very thoroughly so as to avoid costly further deliveries, everything had to be carefully monitored to ensure the smooth running of the project. We also had to contend with Kitchen product shortages which meant that we had to carefully and painstakingly check all items delivered and then ensure that any shortages were fed back to the client in a very timely manner so that we could get the missing product delivered directly to site with the minimum amount of delay in order to ensure the project was completed on time in order for the store to launch in line with marketing and press releases
Another difficult project in a demanding location completed to the clients full satisfaction.
